From Cairo, with love…

I seek to create a life where I’m inspired by the handmade artistic goods around me. From the woven fabric on my bed to the chiselled stone objects that tell tales of craftsmanship, a golden painting sitting by the window is the first thing to delight my eyes each morning.

Style plays a part in this quest for a more artistic life. Apart from the handmade objects which rest in my home, garments are also curated with a keen eye for detail. From my mother’s vintage blouse and my nan’s old Italian belt, to the quality corduroy jacket which has accompanied me many a time at the workbench. The clothing and jewellery we carry through life can bring us comfort while communicating our unique story.

Garments, handmade objects, artisan jewellery. Not only do these things bring us joy, they connect us to the civilisations before us who knew too well, the very human desire for craftsmanship and creativity.

In a world of fast consumption, handmade objects pull us into a slower pace with presence. For a moment we forget the pressure of life and we flirt the true meaning of human being
